1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using BandScope, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

BandScope is a music networking platform that connects musicians, bands, and venues. It allows users to create profiles, post events, follow other users, send direct messages, and discover local music talent.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account credentials with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use BandScope only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
  • Post spam, misleading, or deceptive content.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform.

5. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on BandScope:

  • Harassment, bullying, or hate speech targeting individuals or groups.
  • Violence or content that encourages violence.
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic material.
  • Content that violates others' intellectual property rights.
  • Spam, automated posting, or artificial engagement.

6. Content Moderation

We review reports submitted through the platform and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms. A reporting mechanism is available on all user profiles: use the "···" menu to report another user. We reserve the right to take action, including permanent bans, for serious or repeated violations.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you post on BandScope. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the app for other users. You may not post content that infringes the copyrights, trademarks, or other rights of third parties.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms. You may also delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

BandScope is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for content posted by users or for interactions between users. Our liability to you is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of BandScope after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
